‘Glimpse of Everest’ trek is ideal for visitors with time constraints and demanding nature of high altitude. This Trek gives a chance to relish trekking in the amazing Himalayan trails while exploring the wide range of spectacular scenery combined with monasteries and rich local traditions of the Sherpas. Nestled across the backdrop of the Himalayas, Nepal is a diverse country hosting the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger; picture-perfect Pokhara to a few of the world’s highest peaks. At the heart of Nepal is enchanting the Kathmandu valley, almost a portal into medieval Nepal with its own cultural identity.
Day 01: Arrival: Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport; met by our representatives and transferred to the hotel.
Free for the rest of the day with a small brief in the evening about the trek.

Day 02: Half Day Sightseeing
In the morning, explore Kathmandu Valley. Visit the ancient Durbar Square and a peek into Nepal’s rich history and a visit to Boudha Stupa, another UNESCO World Heritage.
The rest of the day is left free to pack and purchase any last-minute essentials for the trek.

Day 03: Flight: Lukla Trek: Phakding (2652m)
Early morning flight to Lukla; steal glimpses of the Himalayas as the plane maneuvers through the valleys and hills making your way to Lukla – the gateway to the Everest Region.
Upon arrival, meet the porters. We follow the trail towards the north-east. We cross a suspension bridge to leave Lukla behind. Pass small picturesque villages of Chaunrikharka and Ghat ultimately descending to reach Phakding, by the raging Dudh Koshi River.
Overnight: Phakding
Trek Duration: 3 hours.
Day 04: Namche Bazaar (3447m)
Pursue the trail with the raging Dudh Kosi on your right. Cross Dudh Kosi at Benkar and view glimpses of snow-capped peaks Kusum Kanguru (6369m) and Thamserku (6623m). Steep climb for 20 mins to reach Monjo – our lunch stop.
We enter Sagarmatha National Park after having our permits cleared. After crossing the river again, we hit a busy trail with small villages and pine forests. A Steady climb is accompanied by the first glimpses of the mighty three ahead – Everest (8848m), Mt. Nuptse (7879m), and Lhotse (8383m).
We reach Namche Bazaar – a bustling little prosperous town in the Khumbu region surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks.

Trek Duration: 5 – 5 ½ hours.
Day 05: Rest and acclimatization at Namche Bazar
Early morning wake up and walk up to the ridge above Namche to get a glimpse of Mt. Everest amidst other towering Himalayan Giants. We will hike up to Mt. Everest View Hotel for acclimatization.
Later visit the famous Bazaar, the hub of the Khumbu. Many traders from Tibet are also seen mingling with the local populace.

Trek Duration:-3 ½ – 4 ½ hours.
Day 06: Thame (3800m)
After breakfast, we head away from the main Everest trail past Namche’s Gompa to join a high alpine trail contouring westward along the valley of the Bhote Koshi River. We get fantastic views of Kongde Ri (6187m), Khumbi Yul La (5765m) and Kusum Kanguru (6,373m) among others. We pass through Phorte, a village where Sir Edmund Hillary’s Himalayan Trust established a tree nursery. Later we descend to the river and cross a bridge before making a steep climb to Thame, situated at an important junction along the old primary trade route to and from Tibet via the Nangpa La (pass).
Thame village is famous for producing climbers, including Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. We hike for about 45 minutes to pay respect to a 400-year-old monastery located on a hilltop.

Day 07: Khumjung (3790m)
After breakfast, we retrace our steps back to the village of Thamo passing through alpine forests and views of Himalayas. Few hundred meters climb brings us to Khunde village which boasts of the biggest hospital in this area and run by Sir Edmund Charity, Canada.
Start the descent from here along an easy trail enjoying the surrounding views to arrive at Khumjung village. We also visit a school supported by Sir Edmund Hillary Trust and a monastery which allegedly houses the scalp of the Yeti!
Overnight: Khumjung.

Day 08: Devouche (3800m) via Thyangboche (3863m)
After breakfast, we start the day with a gradual descent to the small village of Sanasa with views of the mighty Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam among others. From here the trail drops steeply to cross the Imjatse Khola (River) at Phunki Tanga (3250m).
The rest of the day is spent climbing slowly on a steep trail to the picturesque Thyangboche Monastery. All Everest Expeditions receive their blessings at Thyangboche Monastery as climbers progress towards the base camp.
After spending some time in the monastery we descend down to Devouche, a short, steep and muddy descent through a forest of birch, conifer, and rhododendron to the meadows of Devouche.
Overnight: Devouche.
Trek Duration: 4 ½ – 5hours.
Day 09: Backtrack to Namche Bazar
After breakfast, we backtrack through the rhododendron forests and a short climb later we reach Thyangboche. We pass the monastery and descend steeply to Phunki Tanga. After a short break, we start the uphill climb to Sanasa where we again stop for a short break. Here Tibetan traders, resident in the area, have numerous artifacts and worthwhile traditional souvenirs for sale.
From Sanasa, we head to the end of the village and then take the right-hand trail, which is a lovely easy trail to reach Namche Bazaar.
Overnight at Namche Bazaar
Duration of Trek- 5 ½ hours.
Day 10: Backtrack to Phakding
After breakfast, we spend some time in Namche Bazaar exploring the bazaar and buying souvenirs before heading to Phakding.
We trek steep downhill steps through the beautiful forests of juniper, rhododendron and cross the great hanging bridge again, and then continue back to Jorsale where we leave the national park before continuing on to Monjo where we take a break.
We further re-trace our steps along the Dudh Kosi, crossing to the western bank at Benkar village. It is a beautiful and easy walk through blue pine and rhododendron forest, back-dropped with views of KusumKangaru to arrive at Phakding.
Overnight: Phakding.
Trek Duration: 4 ½ hours.
Day 11: Trek back to Lukla
After leisurely breakfast, we head towards our final overnight destination of the trek; Lukla. It is surprising that the trek to Lukla entails climbing uphill and along the way, we meet trekkers who have just started their journey in this region.
It is a delightful ending to the trip as one enters into this busy village of Lukla.

Day 12: Flight: Lukla to Kathmandu
A hearty breakfast, our last meal in the lap of the Himalayas, we take a short flight back to Kathmandu.
Upon arrival, be met by a representative and transferred to the hotel.
The remainder of the day is free.
Overnight: Hotel, Kathmandu.
Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu
Take the day to explore Kathmandu – a city where the modern meets the traditional.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 14: Departure
Last-minute shopping of souvenirs and transfer to TIA, Kathmandu for onward journey.
